Hi guys! In light of back to school season, I'm posting a back to school must haves blog, in addition to back to school outfits. I'm really excited to share this with you because these are all things that help me get through every day of school. Some things on here are basic things you need daily and others are things you may not have heard/thought of to bring or use! I'll let you in on two must have apps, the supplies that are essential, as well as the personal products you should be carrying in your bag. Enjoy!

The Must Have Apps

There are two apps you must download right now, and here they are!

1. Sleep Cycle Alarm (Free)

I got my parents, and some of my friends hooked on this app because it's essential for sleeping. When you sleep, you place your phone near your bed, connected to a charger, with this app open. It records and analyzes your sleep. For the alarm, you choose a ten, fifteen, twenty, thirty, etc... interval in which it will wake you up. So, say you want your alarm to ring between 6 and 6:30. It will choose the best time to wake you up in that period, in which you are in your lightest sleep. This way, you won't be woken up mid-dream by a blaring alarm. There's a variety of very soothing sounds to choose from and it makes your day better right off the bat. And it's FREE!

2. Quizlet (Free)

A lot of people know of Quizlet just from the Internet, but most don't know that you can get it on your phone. Quizlet is perfect for studying large amount of vocab, and in various ways. This is one of the only ways I got good grades in Italian, Spanish, and honors biology. It helps you memorize terms and their exact meanings, and because it's on your phone, you can study on the go. I use this the morning of a test on the bus, just to make sure I'm ready.

The Must Have Supplies

There are only two supplies that I strongly recommend everyone has because they keep me organized and ready to go at all times.

1. A Planner/Agenda

Many people think that they can just remember all the homework they have and all they have to do at the end of the school day but I don't recommend it. I try to remember all the homework I have but it usually doesn't work. Seriously, get a planner. The one shown here is a Lily Pulitzer planner, it's over priced but it makes me happy (lol) so I got it. I highly recommend investing in a nice planner because it'll force you to become more organized.

2. Accordion Folder

I see a lot of my friends nowadays carry a bunch of binders and folders home for each single class they have. I personally, don't feel like bringing home a whole binder just for some notes and a packet of homework. Instead, I use an accordion folder, which saves my life on a daily basis. I usually put homework sheets, packets, reminders, and other loose papers in this folder. I do have a binder/notebook for each class where I keep notes, which I bring home before a test, but for daily use, I bring home this accordion. It's great and keeps a bunch of stuff in one place and isn't too heavy. For each subject you have, there's a folder within this large accordion, where you can place your papers.

The Must Have Personal Products

1. Concealer

Concealer, for me at least, is really important to carry around because you never know when an unexpected zit will pop up or you get some weird redness. It practically saves your whole face. I use the Bare Minerals concealer, and as you can see, I love it.

2. Deodorant

So, this is kind of a given. Brining deodorant to school is really important, especially if you do sports. Please reapply!! I use the Dove Advanced Care Anti-Perspirant. It smells like lime and coconut and applies smoothly.

3. A Hairbrush

I didn't think of this when I was in middle school, but when I switched over to private school, I noticed one of my friends always had a brush in her bag and realized how much I need that too. Now, I carry a small brush with me to school to tame my hair a bit and keep it looking neat.

Must Have Electronics

1. A Phone Charger

I highly recommend bringing a charger to school, especially if you use your phone a lot. If my battery is low, I plug the charger into my laptop and let it charge my phone. I also really recommend charging both your laptop and your phone the night before school.

2. A Watch

I always find myself wondering what time it is during a boring class, and sometimes there isn't a clock on the wall. So, the best thing to do it to wear a watch. This watch is a Baby-G watch in white and rose gold.

That's it! I hope you guys enjoyed this post and found it useful. Please let me know in the comment box what you would like to see next! I hope you are all having a good back to school season. Be sure to check out my last post which was back to school outfits.
