What's in My Bag-Summer Edition

Since my last post described some of my favorite bags, I decided to share what's actually inside my bag during the summer. I find that it's more important to carry certain products with you during the summer, than it is during the winter, such as blotting papers. So, read on to find out what's in my bag this summer! I recently got this bag, and I absolutely love it. It's neutral color makes it great to pair with any type of outfit, and it's convenient to wear, and use for storage. I do have my initials monogrammed on it, but you can get the bag without any initials. I especially love that it's straps can be converted to either a cross body, a tote, or a backpack.
The Products:
This deodorant is my all time favorite- it does not give in throughout the day, and has a fresh scent to it. It's important to always have a reliable deodorant with you when you're on the go! The lime also adds to the summery feel.
This setting spray is essential when it comes to keeping your makeup on all day. I spray it on right after I'm finished doing my makeup, so that it locks everything in. I was very surprised by this product when I first used it, as it had kept everything in place for over eight hours, even after I had gone to the pool. I keep it in my bag to reapply here and there whenever I need to.
This product was sent to me by the magazine I work for to review. I usually don't wear anything on my lips, because it always makes me look pale, but this product blended in so well, and gave me just the right amount of shine.
This is one product that I cannot live without, especially during the summer. I find that the makeup that most easily comes off my face is concealer, so I make sure to always carry it with me for touch-ups. I use it to cover up acne, redness, and blemishes. This concealer also color-corrects while it's on your face.
In general, it's always good to carry mascara with you during the summer. Whether you're just coming out of the pool and it's smudged, or you're sweating it all off, you should have mascara with you to reapply. I'm currently loving Benefit's mascara- it lengthens, and thickens my lashes, and really makes them stand out.
You never know when all of a sudden your hands will dry out during the summer. That's why I keep a sample of this L'Occitan hand cream with me at all times, just in case my hands need a little something to keep them moisturized.
Henri Bendel Water Bottle
I know, I'm a little obsessed with Henri Bendel, but this bottle actually came with the Jetsetter bag. It's super cute and colorful, and perfect for summer!
Of course, the most important part of your summer beauty regiment should be smelling fresh and sweet. I love this Juicy Couture perfume because it does just that. The scent is a combination of sweet and floral. It's perfect for a summer date night.
Foundation isn't the most convenient to wear and apply during the summer, as it doesn't hold up well in the heat, and will feel heavy on your face. A great alternative is BB cream, which is a tinted moisturizer made to be lightweight, yet still mimic the effect of foundation. I love this one from Maybelline.
Finally, what better product to drop in my bag, than a coconut lip balm? It's the perfect product to keep your lips nourished throughout the day, and save them from the chlorine and salt water. Plus, it's coconut scent will just add to the summer vibes.
