Summer Glam: Outfits and Makeup

Any fashion or beauty lover will tell you that summer is when style peaks around the world. Celebrities take fashion to new heights, showcasing their designer bathing suits, or starting a summer stiletto trend. In the beauty world, makeup becomes more complex, as waterproof and sweat proof makeup become more and more necessary. Not to worry, however, I have you covered. Here are my summer favorites in fashion and beauty.

Outfits

I love this outfit because it is both casual and stylish at the same time. The graphic tee gives off a laid-back vibe, will the skirt makes the outfit a little more dressy. The skirt is from Lulu's and the shirt is from Fox's. I paired it with my Pandora necklace, which is rose gold and compliments the pinkish skirt. I'm also carrying my Henri Bendel Smartphone Crossbody. Love this look for a day out in the city!

This outfit is on the dressier side- it was the outfit I was going to wear to the Fashion on the Hudson fashion show. I love the pop of color that the blouse gives the whole outfit. White pants are a never-fading trend during the summer, so you can never go wrong with them! I paired this outfit with the Henri Bendel Jetsetter bag and a pair of nude pumps.

This is a casual outfit that I would wear out to see friends during the summer. My favorite part is the white baralette that I have underneath the shirt. Bralettes are a must in the summer because they're comfortable, and also add sophistication to any outfit. My shirt says "S'il vous plait" which means "please" in French. I paired it with jean shorts and my Furla bag.

Makeup

Surprisingly enough, I find some of my favorite makeup products during the summer. Many stores have sales and clearances, which makes buying cosmetics a little easier on your wallet. Here are a few products I'm loving this summer!

The product I'm loving the most right now is the Josie Maran Argan Enlightenment Illuminizer. This product works like a miracle. It comes out like a bronzy, glowy serum, and mixes well with foundation and moisturizer. I personally mix it with moisturizer to give my skin a subtle glow that lasts all day. I highly recommend this product to use in place of foundation during the summer.

The mascara I'm loving right now is the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. It's great for a summer day, and doesn't come off when you sweat. The second one is from Tarte called "Best in Faux". It's actually not a mascara, it's a wand covered in a material that gives your lashes length. It's great as a base for your mascara.

This palette from Tarte called "Don't Quit Your Daydream" is one of the best eyeshadow palettes I own. The colors are creamy and come out so vibrant. Plus, the highlighter is an amazing shimmery gold that goes with any look. I buff the darker colors into my crease, and use the lighter ones on the center of my eyelid, and in the inner corners to brighten the eye.

The final summer product I'm loving right now is this highlight/bronzer duo by E.L.F. Both formulas slide on very easily and look great and pigmented on the skin. I like to apply the highlighter with my finger and the bronzer with an angled brush.
