Summer Blues

The summer is my favorite time of year, not just because it's warm and I'm out of school, but also because I get to bring out my favorite summer products. I love using products with summery scents, like coconut, just to get in the mood for the warm season. Blue is the color of the ocean, and of the sky on a cloudless summer day, so what better color for my favorite products? Read on to see the blue products I love to use for the summer.

1. Bath and Bodyworks French Riviera Shower Gel

I just bought this shower gel from Bath and Bodyworks because they had a huge sale this past weekend. I picked it up because it smelled amazing, but not only that, it lathers easily and leaves the skin feeling smooth. I would recommend using a body wash daily to ensure that your body is extra clean, and your skin nourished. This one contains Vitamin E and Shea.

2. Neutrogena Makeup Remover

I got this makeup remover complementary from Ulta Beauty and I'm never going back. This formula will take off every kind of makeup, including waterproof. The best part is that it's great for sensitive eyes; it won't sting the slightest bit. This is great for cleansing your entire face of makeup and other impurities.

3. Simple Pleasures Hand Cream

This hand cream is awesome because of it's coconut scent. Surprisingly, it's as important to use hand cream in the summer as it is the winter. Your hands need the moisture after being exposed to sun, salt water, and chlorine! Treat them well with a coconut hand cream like this one.

4. St. Tropez Bronzing Lotion

I never believed in self-tanners after the many terrible stories I heard about them. But, I got my chance to try one when my magazine Trend Prive sent me this one to review. I loved it immediately, after just one application I was already bronze and glowy. Two applications sealed the deal. I highly recommend this stuff, especially before an occasion. It'll change your life, and it's not even that expensive.

5. Neutrogena Deep Moisture Moisturizer

This moisturizer saved my life this summer. I've been using a product prescribed by my dermatologist that actually ended up chemically burning my face. Long story short, it took a while to recover and was quite painful, and this moisturizer helped a lot. It's a thick cream that's easy to apply and is perfect as a daily moisturizer.

6. Clean and Clear Face Wash

This face wash is great to use nightly before you put on moisturizer. It effectively cleanses your face and gets rid of any remaining makeup. It also has a very relaxing smell which is great before bed.

This perfume is awesome, it's lightly scented, and very airy. Spray it on before date night, or a trip to the beach, as it can be both formal and casual. It's breeziness will put you in the ultimate summer mood.

7. Bath and Bodyworks Loofah

Ok, let's get this straight. You MUST use a loofah if you don't already. It will change your life. A loofah will exfoliate your skin will allowing the body wash to fully cleanse your body. It's what gives your legs a smooth finish after shaving them, and will allow you to tan evenly. If you don't have one, you're missing out. They sell for around $3 at Bath and Bodyworks. Get it.
