My Take on Fashion Month!!

Fashion Week in Paris, Milan, and New York this winter were no less impressive than that of 2016. Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, and Bella Hadid were just a few of the supermodels walking down the FW17 runway. This year, runways were politically-fueled, however the designs were not disappointing. I noticed as I watched many shows that designers are using sheer fabric now more than ever before. Makeup is statement, rather than neutral, and colors are brighter than before. Here are my favorite looks from Fashion Month 2017!

Balmain

This gold is so beautiful, and the design is complex-

you can see how the designer mixed many fabrics,

which is hard to do.

Gigi's wearing a mix of sheer fabric and polyester

Satin is growing increasingly popular

I think this is called a cape dress- but the accessories in this are amazing.

Alexander Wang

On the Alexander Wang runway, there was a lot of ribbons/straps, as you can see around the middle of each piece. Wang created a more street-style show, rather than haute couture.

Dior

I just love the orange in this- theres so many different shades

The pale pink and the sheer really compliment each other

Similar to Charlize Theron's Oscar dress but this one's shiny!

I'm not a fan of the head piece, but the lace over the sheer is gorgeous

Balenciaga

Balenciaga chose to make parts of the pieces stand out as statements, and I loved that. The green tights and blue skirt contrast the rest of the outfit and make it that much more interesting.

Louis Vuitton

I didn't especially like the Louis Vuitton looks this year, but this look was interesting because of the mix of sheer and cotton fabrics.

Fendi

Kendall here is wearing all red, but it's not a simple look. The sleeves include fur and the coat is all leather, as are the boots which I absolutely love.

I love this look for so many reasons- Bella's wearing a similar coat to the one above, and a t shirt dress which is so in style, and then, the most amazing Fendi boots.

Yet again, sheer makes an appearance, this time paired with leather, and it looks stunning. I think that's a red bodysuit as well.... Everyone's wearing those.

Mugler

Such a cute and colorful dress

This is a dress I could see the Kardashians wearing
